Termites Post-Construction
Above Ground Termite Baiting
Ecokil Pest Control uses above ground termite bait stations in primarily internal areas to eradicate subterranean termite colonies. This process involves installing a termite bait station to the area(s) where termites have been found and filling the bait stations with termiticide bait. After the termite bait station has been installed our experienced pest control technician will continue to inspect the bait station every two weeks to ensure there is always bait available for the termites to consume until the termite colony is eliminated. The time it takes to achieve colony elimination depends on the termite species and size of the colony, however general treatment times are between 6-8 weeks.
Inground Monitoring, Baiting and Termite Interceptions Systems
Ecokil Pest Control is an accredited Exterra and Sentricon Inground Termite Monitoring, Baiting and Interception System installer.
How does the Inground Termite Monitoring, Baiting and Interception System Work?
Inground termite monitoring and bait stations are installed around the perimeter of each property in the soil or concrete at intervals of approx. every 3metres to establish a perimeter protection from termites. When termites come to attack the property, they are intercepted by the inground termite bait and monitoring stations and feed on the timber in the inground station. Through regular inspections of the stations this is found by the pest control technician who then replaces the timber with termiticide bait which kills the colony before termites can enter the property.
Inground Termite Monitoring, Baiting and Interception Systems are a truly safe and environmentally friendly way to eliminate termites. The system uses a termite’s natural instincts against them, eliminating the attacking termite and their whole colony. Even after the colony is eliminated, the Inground Termite Monitoring, Baiting and Interception Stations guard your property using the natural power of CO2, monitoring for future invasions without the ongoing need to reapply chemicals. By using either the Exterra or Sentricon System, you are establishing a long term, termite solution that's easy on both you and the environment.

Treated Chemical Maintenance Zone – Chemical Barrier
Ecokil Pest Control installs Treated Chemical Maintenance Zones (Barriers) to all types of building structures including condominium towers, commercial buildings, villas / units, hotels, resorts, and residential properties.
What does a Treated Chemical Maintenance Zone (Chemical Barrier) involve?
-
Prior to treatment: location of underground service pipes must be performed to avoid drilling through underground utilities:
-
Treatment: Concrete/Paved areas will be drilled every 200mm apart using an 8mm or 12mm drill piece and then injected with termiticide emulsion as per the manufacturers label. Soiled areas will be trenched & rod injected with Termiticide emulsion as per the manufacturers label.
Unlike inground termite baiting, monitoring and interception systems, a treated chemical maintenance zone
Residual Application
Ecokil Pest Control offers Residual Application (Spot Treatment) Services directly to areas where termites have been located. For this treatment to be an option depends on the termite species and location of the infestation.
